Goals

So I didn't reach every goal I set for last week, but I did make progress towards healthy, so I guess that's what's important.  I ate more fruits/veggies, but not every meal or snack.  I didn't do the stretch and tone video at all.  I ate at the table some, but definitely not every meal.  And I planned the next day's meals most days, but not all.

I'm finding it hard to get back into the groove of planning, tracking, measuring, etc.  But I know that is important for my success, so it has to be done.  This morning I measured everything that went into my breakfast, so that's a step in the right direction.

This week I'm starting a new plan, Xchanges, from Kim Bensen at www.kimbensen.com.  So, my goals this week are:
1.  Follow Xchanges.
2.  Plan each day's meals and track everything.
3.  Exercise video one day and push-ups 3 days with http://spunkysuzi.blogspot.com/ 's challenge.

Goals for the Week

I'm going to try setting some weekly goals on Sunday and then reviewing my progress each week.  This week:
1. eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal or snack
2. complete the stretch and tone video 3 times this week
3. I'm participating in http://spunkysuzi.blogspot.com/'s challenge to eat at the table with no tv/computer/book, etc.  My goal is to do this for breakfast and dinner, as lunch is usually unpredictable at work.  I will do so for lunch as I'm able.
4. plan the next day's meals each night

New Year

2011...there is so much I want to accomplish this year.  The most important and the focus of this blog is to lose weight and improve my health.  I've started so many years, months, days, etc. with this goal.  And I have not been very successful at maintaining what I lose.  I want this year to be different.  I want to make changes that I can live with for life.  I plan to focus on real foods, eating less processed foods.  I plan to increase my activity/exercise.  I will start and keep doing it...not "until I lose the weight", but forever.

I've heard many people talk about journaling/blogging being a great help to them in their weight loss process.  I am going to use this blog to keep track of what I eat and how much I move.  This is really for me, but any support I can gain in the process will be a great bonus!  Today is the day....I'm Headed to Healthy!
